Center Kita (north) is one of the main centers in Khohoku New Town, northern Yokohama. Here is a little bit of
information regarding Khohoku New Town: its development began in the early 1980s; it is located about 12 km north of downtown Yokohama and 25 km west of downtown Tokyo; the population
is around 180,000; the Yokohama city subway, operating on two separate lines,
runs through the new town; there is the Yokohama History Museum.
Direct bus services link Center Kita and two international airports at Narita and Haneda.
The landmark of Center Kita, a Ferris wheel, can be seen
from everywhere.
