From 2004 to 2008, I lived in the Philippines as a JICA expert for an IT project. Here are some photos that I took. Starting with the top two photos, they show "Tagaytay", a popular tourist destination south of Manila, then old Manila depicting rich Spanish heritage, followed by modern Manila, and a park dedicated to Jose Rizal, a national hero, showing statues enacting the scene of his execution by the Spaniards in 1896.
