The star festival falls on July 7. It’s customary for people to write

their wishes on oblong cards, which are tied to bamboo branches.                   This photo was taken at a shopping mall in Center Kita (north),                        northern Yokohama on July 5, 2024.   

Summer festival in my neighborhood, northern Yokohama on August 18, 2024. It was all organized by residents, including food booths as well as performances by different groups. The top photo shows a brass band from a junior high school.
