The Japanese aerobatic team, the Blue Angels, flew over northern Yokohama on June 29 for the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Kawasaki city. Kawasaki lies immediately east of Yokohama.
The star festival falls on July 7. The photo shows people tying oblong
papers on bamboo branches at a shopping mall in northern Yokohama.
On the said papers, their wishes were written.
A local summer festival in my neighborhood in northern Yokohama on August 18. It was postponed by one day due to a typhoon. The photo shows
the local junior high school brass band playing four popular numbers.
There were more than 10 booths for quick bites or games, all operated by locals.

The Fujishiro Seiji art gallery, which is located in Nasu, a popular summer resort in Tochigi prefecture on September 5. Fujishiro is a gifted cut-out artist. The photo shows an impromptu work made when Fujishiro reached 100 years old. It says “Happiness of living”. Congratulations, wholeheartedly!
